Where do I find a wingfoil Instructor Training Course?

Check the Instructor Courses and search for the date, language and location that meets your needs.

What do I have to bring to the Instructor Training Course?

The organizer of the course will provide the wingfoil gear. You must bring your own helmet, impact vest and wetsuit, or arrange with the organizer to rent or loan them.

Please also bring a printed copy of the course manual, a notebook and a pen. As an alternative to printing, you may bring the manual on a tablet.

How long does the Instructor Training Course last?

The course duration is five days, eight hours a day.

Is it mandatory to do both modules?

Yes, the only candidates who don’t have to do Module 1 or 2 are IKO Instructors of any level with active IKO membership.

Can my IKO Center affiliate with IWO and become an IWO Center as well?

Yes, any IKO Center that has an IWO Instructor (or IKO Instructor – Coach Level 1 – Wingfoil) can apply to the IKO/IWO and affiliate with the IWO.

How does a wingfoil school become an IWO Center?

If your school is not affiliated with the IKO and you want to affiliate with the IWO, you must contact support@iwointl.com fill out the following documents and send them to the IWO: 

  • Safety Information
  • Emergency Action Plan
  • Spot Risk Assessment

We will review them and we may request extra information to complete the affiliation process.
