The IWO Instructor certification is recognized worldwide, allows you to have your professional skills recognized when you apply for jobs in wingfoil schools and sets you apart from competition with non-certified instructors.
The IWO Instructor certification also comes with one year of professional liability insurance, which is included in the price of the Instructor Training Course (ITC).
HOW IT WORKS
There are three ways to become an IWO Instructor:
If you’re a wingfoiler without an instructor certification...
The IWO offers an Instructor Training Course (ITC) that consists of two modules. Module 1 is online self-study and module 2 is 5-day in-person training in which an IWO Examiner will guide you through the IWO content with real, hands-on teaching sessions. At the end of the course, depending on your performance and final evaluation, you’ll receive the IWO Instructor Level 1 Certification.
If you’re an IKO Instructor of any level with active IKO membership…
You can complete the IKO Coach Level 1 - Wingfoil course which is an online exam and riding skills checkup (you would need to send a video for that). After you pass this course, you’ll receive your IWO Instructor Certification.
If you’re already a certified IKO Instructor and Wingfoil Coach with active IKO membership…
You can apply for your IWO certification without taking a course.
If you are wingfoil instructor from another organization
Cross the IWO doing an online Instructor Equivalency Course (IEC), Subscribe to here to check your equivalency
ONLINE LEARNING
