We are the International Wingboarding Organization (IWO), the world’s leading wingfoil/wingboard organization, founded by professional wingboard instructors with more than 20 years of experience in watersports education.
International Wingboarding Organization (IWO)
The IWO was founded in the spring of 2022 by the International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO), which has trained and certified more than 16,000 kitesurf instructors and 650,000 kitesurfers across the world over the last two decades.

 

The IKO is using this experience to safely and sustainably grow wingboarding by providing quality educational curriculum to wingboarders in the IWO, at all levels: beginners, experienced wingers, Instructors and Examiners.

 

We provide students and instructors with a proven progression path so they can learn and teach safely and efficiently, and make lasting memories as they practice this amazing new sport.

 

In recent years, wingboarding has gained enormous popularity among water sports enthusiasts and people of all ages. The equipment has developed rapidly and although it’s a new sport, there’s a demand for specialized instructors.

WHY WINGBOARD WITH US

The International Wingboarding Organization (IWO) is the sister organization of the International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO). That allows us to leverage the large international network of water sports centers established by IKO and its more than two decades of experience in watersports education.

The IKO developed a world-referenced methodology to create lesson plans and training materials for kitesurf students and instructors. We’ve replicated this process at the IWO to develop a first-of-its-kind wingboard training program that includes a proven progression path for recreational wingriders and professional wingboarding instructors.
